Janet Enever > is a member of the Institute for the Study of European Transformations (ISET) and the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Languages & Education at London Metropolitan University where she has worked for eight years. In the Faculty she leads the MA Primary ELT: Policy & Practice, contributes to teaching on the MA TESOL courses and supervises PhD students. Her research base within ISET supports her leadership of the ELLiE Project.
She completed her doctorate in 2001 in the field of Primary ELT Policy studies (EdD Bristol 2001) Since then, she has undertaken consultancies in Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, China and Vietnam. Her research interests include: the impact of globalisation on English language teaching; the politics of primary foreign language policy and primary EFL/FL teaching.
She is a member of the European Education Policy Network. She was recently the joint organiser (with Jayne Moon) of a global conference in Bangalore, India, focusing on trends in primary EFL policy making. She has published widely in the broad field of global perspectives on primary language learning.

Institute for the Study of European Transformations (ISET) > aims to bring an interdisciplinary approach to research questions arising from transformations taking place across Europe and in Europe’s relations with the wider world. It is interested in changes taking place both at macro and micro levels. These include new patterns of migration, EU enlargement and integration, demographics, new patterns of language choice, changing relationships between age groups, faiths, sexualities, genders and ethnicities, quality of life and environment.
ISET also has a strong interest both in the cultural dimension of political change and in the political nature of cultural representations; our research encompasses work on contemporary European media, literature and language.
