Dr Eva LindgrenDr Eva Lindgren > holds a teacher degree in English and Music and she has a PhD in English Linguistics. Her research interests include language and writing development.

Eva has published internationally around areas such as foreign language development, self-assessment, peer feedback, keystroke logging, revision and fluency. She is one of the editors of the SIG Writing Publication and Archive Server and together with Kirk Sullivan she has edited the book Computer Keystroke Logging and Writing: Methods and Applications.

Gun Lundberg >

Gun LundbergGun Lundberg > is a Teacher Educator at Umeå University. She has a Degree of Licentiate of Educational Work and her book Teachers in Action explores strategies for improving teaching and learning of English in the early school years.

She has been a member of the coordinating team in a four-year ECML project, Temolayole, Developing teachers of Modern Languages to Young Learners (2004-2007) and edited a volume, Teaching Modern Languages to Young Learners, 2007, where she is also the author of one chapter. She is a co-author of a policy guide for the subject of English, Samtalsguide i Engelska, 2008, for The National Agency for Education in Sweden.

The teacher education program is one of the largest programs in the university with around 3000 students.  Research and research training related to teaching and learning include areas such as Mathematics education, Educational work and Literacy. The ELLiE project is one of many ongoing school research projects that is supported by the university.
